Postcrossing

Let me introduce you to postcrossing.
It's a place where you
"send a postcard and receive a postcard back from a random person somewhere in the world!”
Oh, yes! It's true.
I can't remember exactly how I stumbled upon this site today.
But let me tell you, I already have an account!
Here's what you do:
You sign up, make a profile, add your address.
You get 5 starter addresses to send postcards to as well as an ID that you write on the postcard.
The recipient registers the ID that is tagged with your info in the system, that way postcrossing will know you actually did your part and sent one. Then, you get another address and do it all again!
All the while receiving postcards from other members around the world!!
I really really hope I keep up with this project. Can you imagine having a collection of postcards from anonymous people all over the planet? Am I the only one that gets excited about these kinds of things?
I remember that time I signed up for Letter Writers Allience. I got my first address and even bought a little sussie to put in with my letter.
Yep, never got sent.

Let's hope this postcard project goes better than that!
Now I need your help! Where do I get a postcard? I'd like a Louisiana-ish one.
I'm going to start collecting vintage ones, of course.
But my first recipient is from Finland! and a  BOY! What kind of postcard does a boy want??
Ohhh mann...

I loooove the idea! I would definitely do this, but I'm pretty freaked out about giving my address to the world :/
